(The Tony Montana quote is a saying my dad used often in his life. He should know – he faced potentially life-ending diseases twice. When he finally did pass from this life, it was quietly in his sleep. This is saying one of the lessons I learned by listening to him as he navigated sickness and disability with grace. Having faced my own death numerous times, I can fully agree with him – every day above ground is indeed a good one.)

My Dad had a similar saying. If you asked him how he was he would say, “Well, I woke up today.” He passed this past May, and I miss him and his positive outlook.
