Truer words would be hard to find. Harder words as well. We would prosper if we take heed to what these men have to say to us individually and together in this post.
“Millions call themselves by His name, it is true, and pay some token homage to Him, but a simple test will show how little He is really honored among them. Let the average man be put to the proof on the question of who or what is ABOVE, and his true position will be exposed. Let him be forced into making a choice between God and money, between God and men, between God and personal ambition, God and self, God and human love, and God will take second place every time. Those other things will be exalted above. However the man may protest, the proof is in the choice he makes day after day throughout his life.” – A.W. Tozer
“If you have not chosen the Kingdom of God first, it will in the end make no difference what you have chosen instead” – William Law
“Salvation apart from obedience is unknown in the sacred Scriptures… Apart from obedience there can be no salvation, for salvation without obedience is a self-contradictory impossibility” – A.W. Tozer
Be forewarned: the majority will not heed these words. They will pursue their own living while feigning obedience and devotion to our God by means of religiosity and divided heart living. The words of Jesus:
“Now large crowds were going along with Him, and He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who are watching it will begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This person began to build, and was not able to finish!’ Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to face the one coming against him with twenty thousand? Otherwise, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and requests terms of peace. So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.“
“The righteous are always few.” – A.W. Tozer

The way is becoming narrower but the grace is becoming greater. Narrow is the Way that leadeth to LIFE and as the Greek actually declares “few there be who are finding it”. It is an inexhaustible life… there is a continual unfolding of His wonder… The Path of righteousness must be walked in (not talked about). The Path is not an end it is but the Way into the eternal ever-expanding glory of God. Few there be – but the love that binds them is deep and the people of the Way fellowship in Him who is the Way…
Blessings brother,
